Villa Shelley – Boutique Hotel

Il suggestivo e incantevole Golfo dei Poeti ha ospitato nei secoli innumerevoli artisti che qui soggiornarono per trovare l’ispirazione o semplicemente ammaliati dalla bellezza paesaggistica. Tra questi la scrittrice Mary Shelley e suo marito, il poeta Percy Bysshe Shelley, che scelsero una dimora storica e romantica, nata nel XVI secolo come monastero dei padri Barnabiti e poi divenuta residenza privata. Questa villa, all’epoca si chiamava Villa Magni, si affaccia direttamente sul mare, godendo così di una posizione privilegiata e di una vista splendida su Lerici e Portovenere e alle spalle ha un rigoglioso bosco di noci e lecci. L’attuale proprietaria, la Sig.ra Emanuela Morando, ha trasformato Villa Shelley in un Boutique Hotel, mantenendo lo stile e l’atmosfera dell’epoca che l’ha resa celebre. Una struttura che promette di stuzzicare la fantasia di chi ama assaporare la storia e immergersi nei saloni e nelle stanze nei quali i coniugi Shelly vissero il loro amore, un pò scapestrato e, se vogliamo, fuori dagli schemi.

Il 23 giugno si è tenuta l’inaugurazione ufficiale e da luglio il portone della villa si schiuderà per accogliere gli ospiti e regalare loro un soggiorno speciale fatto di coccole, privacy e romanticismo.

The charming and enchanting “Golfo dei Poeti” has hosted innumerable artists who lived here to find inspiration or simply fascinated by the beautiful landscape. These include the writer Mary Shelley and her husband, the poet Percy Bysshe Shelley, who chose a historic and romantic house, built in the 16th century as a Barnabiti’s monastery and later became a private residence. This villa, at the time it was called Villa Magni, is directly overlooking the sea, enjoying a privileged position and splendid views on Lerici and Portovenere, and it is backed by a lush forest of walnuts and ilexs. The current owner, Mrs. Emanuela Morando, transformed the Villa Shelley into a Boutique Hotel, maintaining the style and the atmosphere of the era that made it so famous. An hotel that promises to excite the imagination of those who like to enjoy the story and to immerse themselves in halls and rooms in which the husband and wife Shelly lived their love, a little wild and outside the scheme. The official inauguration was held on 23 June and on July the front door of the villa will be disclosed to welcome guests and give them a special stay, made of pampering, privacy and romance.
