Stresa e le sue isole

Cosa c’è di più romantico che avvicinarsi alla riva del lago all’imbrunire e salire a bordo di un motoscafo che ci conduce alla scoperta della meravigliosa Isola Bella? La fresca brezza, la riva illuminata e il suono delle onde ci accompagnano in questa suggestiva traversata, il lago è ancora più bello visto dall’acqua. Attraccare sull’isola quando le prime ombre della sera ci avvolgono è un’esperienza unica ed emozionante. Il bianco palazzo dei Borromeo ci accoglie in tutta la sua magnificenza e poi ci incamminiamo nelle amene viette fino a giungere al ristorante Elvezia, delizioso con i suoi balconcini di ferro battuto che regalano una vista poetica. Prezioso, curato nei minimi dettagli ed elegante offre una cucina sfiziosa e gustosa. Dopo un aperitivo in terrazza ho scelto, per iniziare, una tartare di manzo con funghi porcini sott’olio, toma stagionata e crostini di pane ai cereali. Poi ho assaggiato il petto e coscia di faraona, cotta a bassa temperatura su crostino di polenta, salsa al tartufo nero e Barbera. Deliziosi.

A conclusione di questa serata incantevole la barca ci ha riportato all’Hotel Regina Palace per goderci una notte fatta di sogni d’oro.

What could be more romantic than getting close to the shore of the Lake at dusk and climb aboard a speedboat which leads us to discover the wonderful Isola Bella? The cool breeze, the shore lit up and the sound of waves accompany us in this picturesque crossing, the Lake is even more beautiful from the water. Stock up on the island when the first shadows of evening wrap is a unique and exciting experience. The Borromeo’s white Palace welcomes us in all its glory and then we walk in pleasant streets until the restaurant Elvezia, delicious with its wrought-iron balconies with a poetry views. Precious, attention to detail and elegant tasty a delicious cuisine. After an aperitif on the terrace I chose, for starters, a beef tartare with porcini mushrooms in olive oil, Toma cheese and croutons of multi grain brad. Then I tasted the slow-cooked breast and leg of Guinea fowl on polenta crouton with truffle and Barbera red wine. Delicious. At the conclusion of this lovely evening the boat has brought us back to the Hotel Regina Palace to enjoy one night made of sweet dreams.
