Il Gran Ballo della Venaria Reale 2023

Ancora una volta la favola del Grand Ballo della Venaria Reale ci ha avvolti e ammaliati con la sua magia. In una notte d’ottobre baciata dalla luna piena la Galleria Grande della Reggia Sabauda ha dischiuso le sue porte per accogliere le splendide debuttanti che, accompagnate dagli Aspiranti Guardiamarina della Marina Militare, hanno fatto il loro ingresso. In mano un ramoscello d’ulivo proveniente da Assisi per testimoniare l’auspicio di pace per tutti noi, fu proprio il 27 ottobre 1986 che in questa cittadina umbra l’allora Papa, Giovanni Paolo II, volle un incontro inter religioso e nella gran parte della Terra furono sospesi i conflitti armati.

Ogni anno l’emozione è sempre vivida, attraversare le maestose sale in abito da sera accompagnati dalle note musicali di giovani talentuosi musicisti per poi giungere nella sfavillante Galleria Grande è un’esperienza da vivere. Quando poi le note dell’orchestra scandiscono il tempo e le debuttanti entrano una ad una per poi iniziare le danze è qualcosa di unico.

Il Gran Ballo non è solo glamour, emozioni e divertimento, ma anche cuore solidale, così “Vienna sul Lago” nel corso degli anni ha ottenuto numerosi e prestigiosi riconoscimenti da parte della Presidenza della Repubblica italiana e della Presidenza della Repubblica austriaca.

L’evento ha rinnovato l’impegno per contrastare la violenza sulle Donne facendo indossare alle Debuttanti, sotto i candidi abiti realizzati appositamente da Carlo Pignatelli, le “scarpette rosse” e  l’ente beneficiario della serata è stato SOS Villaggi dei Bambini. Il “Premio Costanzo” che rende omaggio al Gen. Delio Costanzo è stato consegnato al Gen. S.A. Luca Goretti, Capo di Stato Maggiore dell’Aeronautica Militare, e a Sara Simeoni, campionessa olimpica.

Poi tutti gli ospiti sono stati invitati ad accomodarsi per la cena servita. Per iniziare flan di carciofi con vellutata al Castelmagno e pistacchi di Bronte; a seguire Agnolotti del Plin con burro d’alpeggio al timo e sugo d’arrosto e guanciotto di vitello brasato con spinaccette croccanti. Il tutto accompagnato da una selezione di vini dell cantine dell’Associazione “Donne del Vino”. Si è poi fatto ritorno nella galleria Grande per il taglio della torta, il tradizionale brindisi e i balli fino a notte tarda.

Once again the fairy tale of the Grand Ball of the Venaria Reale has enveloped and enchanted us with its magic. On an October night kissed by the full moon, the Great Gallery of the Savoy Palace opened its doors to welcome the splendid debutantes who, accompanied by the Aspiring Ensigns of the Navy, made their entrance. In their hand an olive branch from Assisi to testify to the wish for peace for all of us, it was precisely on October 27, 1986 that in this Umbrian town the Pope, John Paul II, wanted an inter-religious meeting and in most of the world armed conflicts were suspended. Every year the emotion is always vivid, crossing the majestic halls in evening dress accompanied by the musical notes of talented young musicians and then arriving in the sparkling Galleria Grande is an experience to be lived. Then, when the notes of the orchestra mark the time and each debutantes enter and start the dances, it an unique moment. The Grand Ball is not only glamorous, exciting and fun, but also a big heart, so “Vienna on the Lake” over the years has obtained numerous and prestigious awards from the Presidency of the Italian Republic and the Presidency of the Austrian Republic. The event renewed the commitment to combat violence against women by making the Debutantes, under the white dresses specially made by Carlo Pignatelli, wear the “red shoes” and the beneficiary of the evening was SOS Children’s Villages. The “Costanzo Prize” which pays homage to Gen. Delio Costanzo was handed over to Gen. H.A. Luca Goretti, Chief of Staff of the Italian Air Force, and Sara Simeoni, Olympic champion. Then all guests were invited to sit down for dinner. To start, artichoke flan with Castelmagno velouté and Bronte pistachios; followed by Agnolotti del Plin with alpine butter with thyme and roast sauce and braised veal cheek with crispy spinach. All accompanied by a selection of wines from the cellars of the “Donne del Vino” Association. We then returned to the Great Gallery for the cutting of the cake, the traditional toast and dancing until late at night.
