I Chiostri di San Barnaba

Tra i luoghi più affascinanti di Milano e, fino a poco tempo fa, sconosciuti a molti, ci sono I Chiostri di San Barnaba, la cui costruzione iniziò nel 1466 e successivamente gli Sforza donarono l’area ad un nobile portoghese, diventato francescano. Dopo varie vicissitudine nel 1967 fu acquistata dai Cavalieri del Santo Sepolcro di Gerusalemme, che ancora oggi ne gestiscono la proprietà e divenne sede della Società Umanitaria. I chiostri, i giardini e il refettorio affrescato conservano intatto il loro fascino, oggi ancora più splendente grazie  ad un accorto restauro.

Presso I Chiostri di San Barnaba si possono organizzare eventi, feste, ricevimenti privati, matrimoni e cene aziendali oppure si può pranzare o cenare al ristorante che offre una selezione di piatti creativi e contemporanei che lavorano gli ingredienti della tradizione milanese con le tecniche innovative e una sfiziosa selezione di dolci speciali firmati dal maestro della pasticceria italiana Luigi Biasetto.

Among the most fascinating places in Milan and, until recently unknown to many, there are the Cloisters of San Barnaba, whose construction began in 1466 and later the Sforza donated the area to a Portuguese nobleman, who became a Franciscan. After various vicissitudes, in 1967 it was purchased by the Knights of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem, who still manage the property today, and became the headquarters of the Humanitarian Society. The cloisters, the gardens and the frescoed refectory retain their charm intact, today even more splendid thanks to a careful restoration.
