“Coco Chanel. La rivoluzione dello stile”

Quando si pensa a un esempio di eleganza, raffinatezza e femminilità ci viene subito in mente un nome: Coco Chanel. Una donna che ha rivoluzionato lo stile ed è diventata una delle icone più importanti del mondo della moda e del jet set internazionale. Fu lei che ha liberato le donne da corsetti e crinoline, permettendo loro di non aver più bisogno dell’aiuto di una cameriera per vestirsi, ha accorciato gli orli delle gonne e ha creato abiti per donne emancipate. Il tutto senza rinunciare alla femminilità, all’eleganza e alla raffinatezza.

Tante le donne che amarono e amano tutt’oggi indossare le sue creazione e molte le donne famose che scelsero, tra queste ci furono: Gloria Swanson, Jeanne Moreau, Annie Girardot, Brigitte Bardot, Anouk Aimée, Romy Schneider, Jacqueline Kennedy.

Il 5 maggio 1921 lanciò uno profumi che è diventato leggenda, Chanel N°5, divenuto tale grazie anche a Marilyn Monroe che, nel 1953, dichiarò di andare a letto… “indossandone” soltanto due gocce…e nient’altro.

Il 1° dicembre 2020, la casa editrice White Star  ha pubblicato una nuova biografia illustrata di Coco Chanel. Un libro che raccoglie 150 splendide immagini che ci ricordano come questa donna sia l’incarnazione perfetta della sua frase più celebre: “la moda passa, lo stile resta”. Ad accompagnarle la penna di Chiara Pasqualetti Johnson che attraverso aneddoti della vita di Coco Chanel ci racconta una donna che ha segnato un’epoca e che con il passare degli anni è diventata ancora più straordinaria.

She freed women from corsets and crinolines, allowing them to the help of a waitress to dress themselves, she shortened the hem of skirts and created dresses for emancipated women. All without sacrificing femininity, elegance and refinement. A lot of women loved and love to wear her creations and many famous women chose them, among them: Gloria Swanson, Jeanne Moreau, Annie Girardot, Brigitte Bardot, Anouk Aimée, Romy Schneider, Jacqueline Kennedy. The 5th of May 1921 Coco Chanel launched a perfume that became legend, Chanel N°5, thanks also to Marilyn Monroe who, in 1953, said to go to bed… “wearing” only two drops on Chanel N°5… and nothing else. Fifty years after her death on the 1st of December 2020, the White Star has published a new illustrated biography of Coco Chanel.
